Privacy

As the controller, we handle your personal data with the utmost care and we believe it is important that you know what we do with your personal data, why we do it and how you can exercise your rights. We explain this and more below in this privacy statement.

When you visit our website:

We use cookies (text files placed on your computer). We use three types of cookies and provide an explanation of each type below.

Functional cookies

These cookies are enabled by default and cannot be disabled. Functional or technical cookies are cookies that are necessary for a website to function. These cookies help us to enable specific functionality on the site and thus improve your experience, for example, by remembering your choices and preferences (e.g. chosen language) or by storing more complex decisions; these cookies also allow you to navigate through our website and use its various features.

Analytical cookies

These cookies are enabled by default, but you can disable them at any time by clicking on ‘cookie settings’ at the bottom of the web page. Based on these cookies, we can track visitor numbers and see how visitors navigate when they use our website. This helps us improve user navigation and ensure users find what they are looking for more easily. Gunvor uses the information obtained with these cookies solely to improve the performance of our website. We use Google Analytics; information collected by Google Analytics is anonymised as much as possible. For example, Google will never process your full IP address and always masks the last part of your IP address. For more information, please consult Google’s privacy policy.

Tracking cookies

These cookies are disabled by default and are only placed with your permission. You can enable these cookies at any time by clicking on ‘cookie settings’ at the bottom of the web page. We can then contact you specifically about working at Gunvor. Tracking cookies, also known as marketing cookies, social media cookies or advertising cookies, are cookies that are used within a domain or across different domains to record the surfing behaviour of visitors. This will ultimately allow targeted offers to be made. The use of tracking cookies requires your informed consent as a user. If you wish to accept these cookies, you will be asked to agree to their use via the button. Gunvor uses the Facebook pixel, Hotjar Pixel & the LinkedIn pixel, among others. These pixels enable proper analysis, optimisation and reporting.

If you do not want websites to place cookies on your computer, you can adjust your browser settings, so you receive a warning before cookies are placed. You can also change the settings in such a way that your browser refuses all cookies or only those of third parties. You can also delete cookies that were already placed. Remember that you have to adjust the settings for every individual browser and computer you use. Be aware that if you do not want cookies, we can no longer guarantee that our website will work properly. It may be that some functions of the sites are lost or that you are not able to view certain websites at all, due to the functionality provided by cookies. How these settings are changed differs from browser to browser. If necessary, consult the help function of your browser.

Also, for technical reasons, we cannot (always) immediately delete all copies of the personal data from our systems and backup systems. Furthermore, we may refuse to comply with the aforementioned requests if they are made unreasonably often, if they demand unreasonably strenuous technical efforts or if they have unreasonably serious technical consequences for our systems or jeopardise the privacy of others.
If Gunvor has complied with a request to correct, supplement or delete personal data, or if you have withdrawn your previously given consent to process your personal data, we will also notify third parties to whom this personal data has been provided of the change.
